If you’re looking for a proper bonfire to light up your Guy Fawkes celebrations, they just don’t get any better than the pyrotechnic spectacular held annually in the charming village of Betley.
Always an absolute cracker, Betley Bonfire is one of the biggest bonfires in the country and promises to fill the night sky with a bigger and better aerial firework display than ever. It’s on Saturday November 4th 2023 at Betley Court Farm, Betley.
Run entirely by volunteers, the bonfire event raises lots of funds for local clubs, charities and good causes, and with the natural amphitheatre of the Betley Mere and the surrounding parkland it makes the perfect viewing spot for visitors to take in all the varied attractions. Stanworths Fun Fair is also on site, with rides for children and adults of all ages.
Gates open at 4pm, but as this is a popular event you’re advised to leave with plenty of time. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with the firework extravaganza starting at approx. 8pm once the bonfire is going strong and the crowds have arrived.
The event is strictly ticket only with children under 3 years old free. Additionally, there’s free onsite parking available. You can find more information and buy tickets at the Betley Bonfire website.
…is with an equally spectacular display of culinary wizardry just a mile or so down the road from Betley, at The Broughton restaurant in Balterley.
